This is my version of Manet's "Luncheon in the Studio" and those other Impressionist paintings where people seem to provide the excuse for painting arrays of food and tableware. The subject here is a breakfast meeting between the president of Burundi and the president of France. Where Manet put a painting on the wall I added the map of Africa to locate it and raided my kitchen for props.
