This painting is a companion piece to Incident at Snake River Canyon, also included in the "RAPE" exhibition. It depicts police violence on the docks when a group of boat people who had been captured at sea were being returned to Haiti--the biblical slaughter of the innocents being played out in the sunny Caribbean.
